AC1: SMILE - PROJECT
Client information:
- Their organisation is named 'Happy Foundations'.
- They are a non-profit organisation (zero budget).
- They are a movement of people trying to build a happier society by encouraging positive changes in people's personal lives, homes, workplace and community.
Requirements:
- Produce a creative outcome that will make people smile/happy.
- TV avert and print advert.
Target audience:
- Primary target audience is my own community.
Aim/purpose:
- Aim is to motivate members of the community to smile and reduce stress and help improve mental health.
Research:
- Many things can cause you stress, such as being under a lot of pressure, facing big changes, worrying about something, having responsibilities you find to be overwhelming, etc.
- Things that could cause bad mental health are childhood abuse/trauma/neglect, loneliness, experiencing discrimination/stigma, being at a social disadvantage, severe or long-term stress.
- Researchers at the University of Kansas published findings that smiling helps reduce the body's response to stress and lower the heart rate in tense situations.
- Science has found that smiling, even if you're in a bad mood, can boost your mood because it sends signals to your brain that tell it you're actually happy.
- Studies have shown that smiling released endorphins, natural painkillers, and serotonin. Not only do these natural chemicals elevate your mood, but they also relax your body and reduce physical pain.
Ideas for print advert:
- Something positive that could make someone smile or even laugh.
- I could put something cute as the main focus because people like cute things?
- A positive or reassuring quote to make people feel better or even happy.
